“Life is tough, but it is even tougher if you’re stupid.” -- John Wayne
“Even duct tape can’t fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.” -- Author Unknown
“Stupid is as stupid does.” – Forrest Gump
“It’s hard to win an argument with a smart person, but it’s damn near impossible to win an argument with a stupid person.” – Bill Murray
I have long favored a Stupidity Law. Whenever someone does something stupid not covered under another law, authorities could use the Stupidity Law to prosecute. It may be too late to stop Donald Trump, Justin Bieber or Kanye West, but it might be a deterrent in the future. We can only hope. Here are some incidents, which might fall under the Stupidity Law:
A 19-year-old Arizona high school football player was arrested for exposing himself in a team picture that was then published in the school yearbook. In the photo, he exposed his genitals. The yearbook was distributed to all the high school students. A collector’s item for sure. The student was charged with 69 (WTF?) counts of misdemeanor indecent exposure -- NBC affiliate WGBA. That’ll look good on his college application. If the other charges don’t stick, police could use the Stupidity Law.
In Brownville, Texas, police conducted a series of questions and random searches resulting in the arrest of a woman who became nervous after a series of questions. She was arrested after police found nearly five pounds of meth wrapped around her body. -- ABC News. If the court rules it was an illegal search, the Stupidity Law would kick in.
