The cochlear implant is a little disappointing. It does improve my hearing, but I still cannot talk on the telephone and I do not hear well in meetings. If I cannot talk on the telephone that will pretty much end my chances of finding a job.
I did my taxes this week and the good news is that I am finally poor enough to get a refund. The bad news is that I am finally poor. I have not had a refund from the IRS in years. I did not send it because I still cannot believe it. If you want to help me out, please buy my books.
Speaking of books-I finished my fourth draft of Leadership for New Managers: Book Two. I still have a load of work to do. My next step is to build the glossary and develop a self-assessment. I am still shooting for less than 100 pages and a cost of $2.99. I plan to use discount coupons and to do a better job of marketing. I am open to suggestions, if anyone has a good idea. I have spent the last two months building my platform, and I am happy with it so far. 10,000 people would be nice, but I have only around 5,000 counting all my sources. It is a start.
I don't think many people like non-fiction but my first book has had the most downloads (400+). Too bad I offerred free. It inspired me to do the sequel. However, as I market it, I will also market the other fiction books I wrote. Two of my books have not sold a copy, so I may take them off the market.
Wish me luck!
