It is now official – Eliot Spitzer, the former NY governor, gathered enough signatures to be on the ballot for comptroller of New York City. He is running against the woman who was the madam who supplied Spitzer with prostitutes. If they have a debate, I would like to attend; could be xxx-rated. Actually, it would be exciting if Anthony Weiner also joined in the debate. You may recall that he resigned his position as congressman (I meant congressperson or congressional representative– can’t be too carefully now days.) after he was
exposed (chuckle) sending lewd pictures of Weiner. (Another chuckle). I am beginning to think that politics should be reclassified as a form of entertainment.
Speaking of inappropriate behavior, I see that mayor of San Diego has admitted to allegations of sexual harassment. In a statement, he said, “I’m clearly doing something wrong.” Duh! One of his former backers, councilwoman (I mean councilperson or council member– I don’t want to get into trouble), Donna Filner, after talking to some of the women, said, “I could not not [sic] act.”
Apparently, proper grammar is not a requirement to be on the city council. I think she meant to say, “I had to act.” I can’t be sure.
All of this craziness is why I never wanted to enter politics. I am just not that interested in sex and drugs.
